Katie, My name is Julie Vaden & I am a friend of Allison's. Met you in Birmingham years ago. Found your blog from looking at some of the beautiful pics of Allsion & CJ on facebook and it has been such a blessing for me! My 5 year old daughter,Taylor, has Angelmans Syndrome. This comes with severe mental delay, siezures, lack of speech & low muscle tone. She just started walking a little over a year ago & we have finally lost the AFO's! Love the jellies!!! I'm definately guilty of the same, but sometimes she just needed to be without them for a bit.I'm not the best at putting my thoughts into words, but reading your blog has been so wonderful!!! I have so many swirling emotions (good & bad) & it is hard for anyone to help me get through the bad, but reading your words is like reading my own thoughts sometimes. I have an almost 2 year old son & have struggled with the happiness & excitement I feel of all his milestones mixed with the realization that Taylor will never do those things. How does anyone ever balance that gulit!? Anyway, just wanted you to know that you help to brighten my world. Lilah is BEAUTIFUL!!
