Katie, I am so glad that you have made a connection through the internet to someone who can relate exactly to what you are going through with Lilah. The internet is a wonderful resource and a huge blessing.

About the 'what not to say' post. I guess I am the opposite. I always wish people would say things about Elisabeth, or that they would ask questions. I want people to know about her disabilities and to be able to help everyone understand that it's ok to talk about. But people NEVER say a word about her. NEVER EVER. When we are out in public it is like she doesn't exist and I think it's because people are afraid to hurt my feelings.

Anyways, that's OK. I love her no matter what people do or do not say :)

By the way, I am going to send you an email later and tell you a little more about the dual language program. You should push to get a program started like that in your district. :)

Hi Katie - I am Maddy's "grammy" from Tulsa Oklahoma - I just cried and cried when reading your words as I remembered our own journey. We are strong belivers in Christ and will now add you to our prayer list. What a beautiful family. We really don't have any idea the wonderful life God has planned...........but we do get a glimpse when we look at our babies. Cindi Hemm
